Ready.gov

Ready.gov is a website developed through a joint venture by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Ready.gov wants you to do three things:

  • Build an emergency supply kit
  • Make a family emergency plan
  • Know the types of emergencies that could occur and the appropriate responses

FEMA

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is an agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security. The agency’s primary purpose is to coordinate the response to a disaster that has occurred in the United States and that overwhelms the resources of local and state authorities. On the website you can find information about current and potential disasters.

Disaster Assistance

DisasterAssistance.gov is designed to provide disaster survivors with information, support, services and a mechanism to access and apply for disaster assistance through collaborative, data-sharing efforts between federal, tribal, state, local and private sector partners.
